For private hire, start with an enquiry to our team. Tell us what you are planning so we can discuss the space, exclusive use, food, drinks and activities for your event. A restaurant table or standard afternoon-tea or potion-class booking does not reserve the whole venue.
Guest numbers and your layout
Tell us the total number attending, including children and supervising adults, and whether you want a seated meal, a standing gathering or space for an activity. We will confirm whether we can accommodate your event and which layout is suitable before you book.
The 2–24 guest range shown in our online experience calendars is a booking limit for those activities, not the private-hire capacity.
Food, drinks and activities
Ask about pre-booked Afternoon Wizard Tea, restaurant food, cocktails, alcohol-free drinks or a guided potion-making class. These are separate options to agree for your event; please tell us what you would like included in your quote.
Exclusive use, staffing and costs
Before booking, ask for a written quote confirming the areas and hours reserved exclusively for your group, setup and clear-down time, your layout, staffing and bar service, and any food or activities included.
The quote should set out the charging basis, any minimum hire period or minimum spend, additional costs, the total payable, payment dates and cancellation or rescheduling terms. Please contact us for the costs of your specific event.
Access before you book: the venue is on the first floor with stairs-only access and no lift. It is not wheelchair accessible. Enter through Enigma Rooms at 37 Hall Gate, Doncaster; the venue address is 37A Hall Gate, DN1 3NR.
Children and family celebrations are welcome; please give us the age mix and discuss supervision when enquiring. Potion making is recommended for ages 8+. Alcohol is for guests aged 18+ only and Challenge 25 applies. Alcohol-free options are available. Discuss allergies and dietary requirements before booking; our kitchen cannot guarantee food free from allergens.

How long can we have the space for?
Tell us your preferred start and finish times, including any setup time you need. Ask us to confirm availability, the minimum hire period, how the hire is charged, and what is included in a written quote before booking.
Is Afternoon Wizard Tea available?
Afternoon Wizard Tea is available when booked in advance. Ask about restaurant food, drinks or potion classes for your event and confirm the inclusions in your quote. Alcohol-free options are available. Contact us before booking about dietary requirements or allergies; we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Accessibility, Allergies and Mobility
The Twisted Broom is at Enigma Rooms Doncaster, 37A Hall Gate, Doncaster, DN1 3NR. Guests enter The Twisted Broom through Enigma Rooms at 37 Hall Gate. The Twisted Broom is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for wheelchair users. This applies to all activities, the bar and the restaurant. It is on the first floor, with stairs-only access and no lift. If you have any questions about accessibility, please call us on 0333 366 1002 before booking.
Will there be strangers with us?
Exclusive private hire is arranged with our team. Your agreement should confirm which areas are reserved for your group, the exclusive-use period, and the staff and bar service provided. A standard restaurant or experience booking does not include exclusive use.
When should we book?
We recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially for evenings and weekends. This gives you the best choice of dates and times.
Magical Parties is a Live Event
**PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE THAT THE TWISTED BROOM IS A LIVE EVENT AND THEREFORE WE CANNOT ACCEPT REFUNDS. THIS INCLUDES CANCELLATIONS OR LAST MINUTE RESCHEDULES ONCE A BOOKING IS CONFIRMED.

HEALTH and SAFETY NOTICE – Please note that due to health and safety reasons, we are unable to allow intoxicated/drunk people. We strongly recommend that you do not drink alcohol before your booking.
Note: Potions can be made with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients.
The Twisted Broom enforces the Challenge 25 rule.
If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25, you will be asked for ID.
If ID is not presented, then you will only be allowed to brew non-alcoholic potions.
