Choose from five venues in Doncaster, Hull, Pontefract, Retford and Wakefield, then compare the theme, difficulty and intensity before you book.
After a briefing, you enter a themed experience and work through clues, puzzles and story moments. You can ask for hints if you get stuck, and you can leave the room if necessary. No specialist knowledge is required.
A two-person team has fewer pairs of eyes than a larger group, so communication and organisation matter. That is part of the fun: decide how you will share information, keep solved items separate and speak up when something looks important.

Doncaster couples can choose from four escape-room stories. Arabian Nights offers colourful fantasy, Hostage puts you into a secret-agent adventure, Mafia is a crime-led investigation and Ward 13 provides a creepier atmosphere. Each room accepts teams of two.
For a different Doncaster date, Viking Axe Throwing and Oche Club Interactive Darts are separately bookable. The Twisted Broom is a separate immersive magical bar offering potion classes, magical afternoon tea and drinks with friends in its spellbinding atmosphere.
At Princes Quay, couples can choose the atmospheric mystery of Dracula’s Tomb, the colourful world of Escape the Chocolate Factory or the challenging science-fiction mission Impact. Check each Hull room page for current difficulty, intensity and accessibility information before booking.
Looking for a different date-night idea in Pontefract? Couples can book either current Ropergate End room as a two-person team and take on the full 60-minute challenge together. Choose Escape From Oz for a colourful fantasy adventure or Sweeney Todd if you both prefer a creepier story.
Both rooms are open and accept teams of two. The Last Pirate is coming soon but is not yet available to book. Compare the published difficulty, access notes and player prices before choosing, then check live Pontefract availability for the date you want.
Retford has five escape-room stories for couples: Colditz, The Legend of Catequil, Outbreak, SP EYES and Siberia. For a different social challenge, Oche Club interactive darts and shuffleboard are separate bookable options. Check the relevant activity page for current availability and practical guidance.
Pick a theme you both like, not simply the highest difficulty score. Staff explain the rules before the game, and clue systems help teams continue when they are stuck. Comfortable clothing and footwear are sensible, especially when a room page mentions crouching or physical elements.
