Planning for more than six guests? An Enigma escape room cannot hold the whole party in one game, but a larger group may be able to split into smaller teams and play multiple rooms at the same venue, subject to availability.
This page explains the limit clearly and helps organisers plan workplace visits, birthdays, family gatherings and friendship-group outings without promising capacity that has not been confirmed.
Every Enigma escape room is listed for two to six guests. Six is the maximum for one room; there are no extra places beyond that limit. If seven or more people want to visit, divide the party into teams of no more than six.
Simultaneous room times depend on the venue, date, live room inventory and existing bookings. Contact Enigma before making travel or event plans.

Estimate the final guest count and divide it into teams of two to six.
Decide whether the teams need to start at the same time.
Compare themes, age guidance, intensity and accessibility.
Ask the venue to confirm the available room-and-time combination.
Share separate team assignments and arrival instructions with all guests.
For workplace visits, see the dedicated team-building guide. Birthday organisers can use the birthday-party guide.

Not every activity is available at every venue. Individual location and activity pages are the source of truth.
For a birthday, workplace visit or group activity in Pontefract, each Ropergate End escape room accepts 2–6 players. A party of seven or more may be able to split between Escape From Oz and Sweeney Todd, provided suitable times are available.
Do not book separate slots and assume they will run together. Contact Enigma first with your date, headcount, ages and access requirements, then compare the current Pontefract rooms and live availability.
A larger party may include first-time players, enthusiasts, children or people who prefer different intensity levels. Avoid choosing every team’s room on difficulty alone. Compare:
theme and atmosphere;
published age guidance;
darkness, live actors, flashing lights or jump scares;
steps, crouching or physical elements;
whether each team wants a lighter or more demanding experience.
Use the room-choice guide, beginners guide and complete directory when building the plan.
Access varies by building and room. Read the accessibility guidance and tell Enigma about mobility, sensory or other requirements before the venue suggests a room split.
No. One room has a maximum of six guests.
Sometimes, but only when suitable rooms and time slots are available together. Ask before booking.
There is no single safe figure to publish for every date. Capacity depends on the venue, available experiences and schedule. Contact Enigma with the actual guest count.
Selected venues offer other activities, but the choice varies. Check the relevant venue and activity pages, then ask about compatible times.
Use the contact page, email hello@enigmarooms.co.uk or call 0333 366 1002. Include the venue, date, guest count, ages and access needs.
