Viking Axe Throwing in Doncaster is a one-hour indoor activity for 2–6 guests per lane, with four lanes available for groups of up to 24. It is suitable for ages 10 and over, and guests under 16 must attend with an adult aged 18 or over. Full safety and technique training is included.
Each group has its own booked lane, although other groups may use adjacent lanes in the shared axe-throwing area. No great strength is required: technique matters more than power, and your AXEPERT will help you learn to throw safely and accurately.

Yes. Every group receives a safety briefing and technique training from an AXEPERT before throwing begins.
Each lane accommodates up to six guests. There are four lanes in the same area, so larger groups can book additional lanes, subject to availability.
Yes. Your booked lane is private to your group, although guests using the other lanes will be in the same axe-throwing area.
Viking Axe Throwing is a physical activity. If anyone in your group has mobility or accessibility requirements, please contact Enigma Rooms before booking so the team can advise whether the activity is suitable.
Technique matters more than strength. Most guests take around 5–10 minutes to find the technique that works for them, and an AXEPERT will provide guidance.
Yes. A spectator area is available. Please let Enigma Rooms know in advance where possible so the team can make sure there is enough space.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear. Hooded tops and open-toe shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.
Please be aware that Viking Axe Throwing is a live event, so bookings are non-refundable once confirmed, including cancellations and last-minute reschedules. Arrive 10–15 minutes before your booking to sign in and receive your safety briefing. Groups more than 10 minutes late may have their booking cancelled without a refund.
Guests must be aged 10 or over, and anyone under 16 must attend with an adult aged 18 or over.
For health and safety, intoxicated guests cannot be admitted. Closed-toe footwear is required and hooded tops are not permitted.
All our activities and experiences require at least one adult (18+) in the booking party.

Our rule of having an adult (18+) as part of the booking party is non-negotiable. This is due to our fire regulations and insurance.
The minimum amount of players per room is 2, and the maximum is 6 players.
There are no exceptions, this is due to our fire regulations and insurance, and we can’t allow any more than 6 bodies per escape room.
For larger groups, we suggest you split the group and play two (or more) escape rooms at the same time (subject to availability).
Other Enigma Rooms activities can accommodate larger numbers, such as Axe Throwing, Interactive Darts and Potion Making, but please note not all venues have these activities.
Please be aware that Enigma Rooms are live events and therefore we cannot accept refunds, cancellations or last-minute reschedules once a booking is confirmed.
Enigma Rooms requires more than 48 hours’ notice to reschedule bookings.
Groups that are more than 10 minutes late for their booking will have their booking cancelled without refund.

Players must arrive 10-15 minutes before your booking so you can sign in and be briefed, and into the room on time. Late arrival may results in your booking being cancelled without refunds.

All activities require a minimum group of 2 people, maximum numbers may vary depending on activity and venue.
There are only a limited number of time slots each day for last minute bookings and walk-ins. It is advisable to call ahead of time to ensure we have space and staffing to cover your bookings if wishing to book on the day, we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to get you in.

We offer an exclusive 10% discount to all groups of students, NHS and also armed Forces. Please call 0333 366 1002 to book using this discount. On the day, you must bring a valid ID (SU card, NHS card etc) for someone in the group
Our customers’ safety is paramount. We have taken advice from a number of organisations and taken a number of measures to prevent accidents occurring. We also give a safety/game briefing before ALL Enigma Rooms games in which we point out that our rooms have easy to use fire escapes that are clearly marked, and all rooms are easy to get out at any time for emergencies.
Payment is required when booking all activities and experiences. Unfortunately, we don’t take deposits, nor can you book now and pay later.
